A Dreamer's Reality
Dreamers see beyond reality.
They alone can touch the sky,
Hear the music yet unplayed,
Have a hope that can not die.
But great perception isn't free
So dreamers pay the price.
The inability to live their dreams
Is a difficult sacrifice.
For what dreamers see as possible
Sometimes just can not be.
The greatest threat to a dreamer
Is this cursed reality.
Like an invisible wall
Between a prisoner and freedom
Reality separates us from
The ideal future we envision.
As dreamers alone are blessed with sight
Beyond the normal scope,
So too are they alone condemned
To the bitterness of undying shattered hope.
