The Dance
Light and darkness intermingled,
Tempered and made strong thereby.
Gruff to all who do not know you,
Yet tenderness hides behind your eyes.
Gentleness with wild abandon,
In simple things you do delight.
Always organized and ready,
Yet still there’s time for fancy’s flight.
Loving, with a servant’s heart,
All are blessed who call you friend.
Captivated by your beauty,
I see the soul that lies within.
Light and darkness dance within you,
Flickering like a candle’s flame.
Warmth and danger so enticing,
Call me once more to love’s game.
